Roxie's on YouTube!
Fri, Feb. 1 2008
Hello friends.... I just posted my first YouTube video! It's on my myspace page, or you can go to www.youtube.com and do a search for my name. I'm moving up in the world of technology!!! Woo-hoo!!! Hooray!!!
Vote "RANDLE" for NIM's Top 10!
Mon, Jan. 28 2008
My song "Welcome To My World" (co-written with Donna DeSopo) was recently featured on the Nashville Independent Music Top 10 Show on Radio Free Nashville (www.radiofreenashville.org). Go to www.nimradio.com and vote! You can vote once per day from any given computer. And, I get extra points for any downloads or CD's of my music that you buy from the NIM website. Just click my name on the voting list and it will take you directly to my music store. That's not a requirement... just a very strong hint. ;) I hope you can take a few seconds out of your busy day and vote for "Welcome To My World"... maybe buy a tune or two... or at the very least, let me know what's up with you! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Roxie Joins BandMix.com
Fri, Jan. 18 2008
If you aren't familiar with the website, it's basically a dating service for bands, musicians and singers. You can search for other members that match your criteria and get hooked up... I mean that in the musical sense, of course. ;) Anyway, I am looking to join a band in order to get some different experiences. If you're interested, I can play guitar, sing lead or BGV's. I'm always prepared and learn songs fast... even if you just need an emergency stand in, contact me. I know lots of cover songs, am responsible, punctual and respectful of those around me!
New CHICKS WITH PICKS hosts!
Thu, Jan. 4 2007
I'm proud to announce that my beautiful diva friend, Sabrina, and I will be taking over the hosting duties for the all-female writers' night known as "Chicks With Picks"! This fab event, held every last Thursday of the month at Caffeine, was created by Larissa Bovetti over two years ago and has become one of the premier places to check out Nashville's most talented ladies. In late 2006, Larissa decided to take off her hosting hat and instead dedicate her time to persuing a career in nursing. We definately wish her all the best! There will not be a show in January, but expect to hear from me next month. The line-up is already shaping up to be pretty spectacular! I hope you'll come out to support all your favorite Chicks!!! www.myspace.com/chickswithpicksnashville

Roxie signs up with ConcertsInYourHome.com
Fri, Jun. 2 2006
Just recently, I was told about this new website, www.concertsinyourhome.com. For those of you who aren't familiar with the term, a "house concert" is an intimate (often unplugged) concert performed in someone's living room. It's actually been pretty common in the songwriting community for decades and is becoming more and more common with the general public as independent music grows. ConcertsInYourHome.com features a database of artists who do house concerts (now including me!), profiles on each artist, and ways to get in touch with them so you can see about hosting a concert in YOUR home. If you love music (especially live music), this is an opportunity to experience it like never before! Go to the website or contact me for more details...
Live CD set for Summer 2006 release!
Thu, Apr. 20 2006
Just an update on my upcoming CD... "Live at The French Quarter Cafe." It looks like it will be available around the end of June. There's still so much to do in the way of getting it packaged and ready for YOU, but I promise the wait is almost over. Check back soon to find out how to get your very own copy!
Roxie joins the wonderful world of MySpace
Mon, Jan. 2 2006
Yes, after lots of peer pressure (and sheer curiosity), I've joined MySpace. I've found it to be quite addictive and from what I've seen so far, lots of other people have this problem, too. There should be a support group for MySpace addicts. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if there already was! But anyway, I digress... You'll find some things on my MySpace page that you won't find here on my regular website... (full-length song samples from my live CD, a slide show, and more info about me) so visit my page at www.myspace.com/roxierandle, add me to your friends list and we'll IM the day away.
Live Recording Goes Off Without a Hitch!
Sun, Sep. 4 2005
The recording of my live album took place Sept 1st and it was definately a night to remember! The band (Tony Marvelli, Paul Nielsen, Mike Zimmerman, & Sheldon Lee Sweeney) and I pulled off a performance that was a one of a kind. Krista Lee Photography captured the night on film for us (photos to be posted soon) and Jack Scott, host/songwriter/musician extraordinaire, engineered the recording. Jack and I are currently mixing and hope to have things wrapped up within the next few weeks. Keep checking back to see when the release date will be...
Chick Singer Night at The Bluebird Cafe
Tue, Aug. 2 2005
My appearance at Chick Singer Night on August 2nd was a blast! There's just something about being a part of a night celebrating talented women. Also in the lineup that night were Esseri Holmes, Louise Mosrie, Shevy Smith, Laura Clapp, and Kelly Buchanan. Each of us were backed up by the CSN Band, fabulous musicians to say the least. It was a great show all around and I can't wait to do it again. Chicks Rock! (Visit www.chicksingernight.com to find out when the next show is.)
Live album being recorded...
Sat, Jul. 16 2005
I've just recently confirmed the details for recording my live album! It will take place at the French Quarter Cafe on September 1st and will feature my buddies, Tony Marvelli, Doug Frasure, Paul Nielson, Jamie Prosser, and Sheldon Lee Sweeney on stage. I'm looking forward to it and hope you can come out and be a part of the live audience! The album should be available for purchase in early 2006. (See SHOWS for more details.)
Article in the Terre Haute Tribune-Star
Sat, Jun. 18 2005
There was a wonderful article on me in a recent issue of the Tribune-Star (newspaper in Terre Haute, IN). It's actually part of a series called "Making It In Nashville" by Mark Bennett and appeared in the June 16th issue. My story, along with others in the series, can be viewed online via the following link: http://specials.tribstar.com/nashville/
